Job summary

MO HealthNet Division in Jefferson City seeks a Benefit Program Specialist in the TPL/Casualty unit, based at the Howerton State Office Building, 615 Howerton Court, Jefferson City, MO.

The role is mid-level, focusing on Third Party Liability/Casualty recoveries; you will research leads, prepare case reviews and reports, and coordinate with attorneys and agencies to reimburse the State, while supporting the supervisor and cross-training teammates.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare case review, management, and administrative reports as applicable.
  • Research internal and external leads, monthly reports, and any correspondence from attorneys, insurance companies, participants and families for possible cases to prepare for reimbursement to the State.
  • Prepare appropriate documentation to send to the Attorney General’s Office for referred cases.
  • Cross-train to back up all other staff as needed.
  • Assist supervisor with special projects as assigned.

The MO HealthNet Division has an opening for a Benefit Program Specialist within the TPL/Casualty unit located in Cole County.

Job Posting Number: 4591 8260032

Semi-monthly salary: The current rate for this position is $1,760.19. Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).

Annual Salary: $42,244.59

Job Location: This position is located at the Howerton State Office Building; 615 Howerton Court, Jefferson City, MO. All internal promotional applicants are encouraged to apply as there may be alternate office space available.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)

Preferred Qualifications

The person in this position should have the ability to work independently, be a team player, and have great time management and critical thinking skills. Experience with eMMIS, Microsoft Office and FAMIS is a bonus. Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures and attention to detail.
