Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Education and experience may substitute for one another.
• 1 year of full-time experience in banking, accounting, claims processing, benefit processing, or a customer service role involving interpreting laws and policies.
• 3 years of related, progressively responsible experience for the higher level.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience reviewing government, legal, or financial documents.
• Knowledge of TRS benefit programs, laws, regulations, and systems.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in the TRS Benefit Processing training program.
• Researches and analyzes member records for accuracy and eligibility for benefits.
• Verifies member demographic information and updates records.
• Reviews documents for authenticity and processes benefit requests.
• Finalizes retirement estimates and benefit payments.
• Utilizes TRS systems to process benefit requests and communications.
