Job summary

The Teacher Retirement System of Texas is seeking a Benefit Counseling Coordinator for the El Paso Regional Office. You will coordinate appointment scheduling, greet visitors, and support benefit counseling operations to serve retirees, members, and employers.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least three years of administrative experience, and notary status or willingness to obtain within six months; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, with accuracy in records and travel

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; education and experience may substitute for one another.
• Three years of full-time administrative support in a professional office environment.
• Notary Public required within six months of employment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the scheduling of visitor appointments with Benefit Counselors.
• Greets visitors and directs to appropriate TRS staff and meeting locations.
• Maintains detailed meeting schedules, coordinates room setup and travel itineraries.
• Provides general office support, handles routine inquiries, and maintains files.
• Prepares and reviews travel spreadsheets and staff calendars; supports special projects.
