Qualifications

• Education: An Associate or technical school degree or high school graduate with equivalent experience.
• Experience: Prior work with diverse public groups is preferred; Spanish skills may help.
• Knowledge: Ability to analyze rules, access resources and explain program requirements clearly.

Responsibilities

• Conducts an initial interview with client to determine eligibility.
• Explains program benefits, responsibilities and requirements to the client and other agencies.
• Interviews and gathers information such as income, resources, employability, education, and household composition.
• Assists clients in completion of forms and in obtaining necessary documentation and verifications for program participation.
• Provides clients with referrals to Child Support, Work Programs, Employment First and other programs like SNAP and Medicaid.
• Maintains case notes and case files and verifies information from multiple data sources.
