Job summary

ChildCareGroup seeks an Eligibility Specialist I to oversee a caseload of Child Care Assistance (CCA) customers and ensure positive outcomes. You will educate customers, handle intake, determine eligibility for waiting lists, and manage transfers, attendance follow-up, and cost reductions.

Strong policy knowledge, data accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential. The role requires dependable attendance and a team-focused attitude in a busy office environment in Dallas, TX.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred.
• Experience: 1 year in non-profit, government, or workforce development programs with direct eligibility experience preferred.
• Skills/Abilities: adaptable to policy changes; strong problem-solving; data interpretation; time management; multi-tasking; organized; MS Word & Excel proficiency; written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Determine Eligibility: determine eligibility, maintain and complete all records for case files per policies; assess family needs; process enrollment forms.
• Processing work: process eligibility paperwork, drops, transfers and maintain database within required timeframes; manage high volume of cases.
• Customer Service/Consumer Education: educate customers on policies, provide solutions, and explain outcomes clearly.
• Other Duties as assigned: provide backup support for team members.
