Job summary

IGA - Floco Foods in Louisville, GA, is seeking a friendly, energetic deli/bakery supervisor to lead daily operations, ensure polite service, and meet sales and profitability goals for the department.

You will oversee staff, training, inventory, scheduling, quality standards, and safety, while maintaining strong guest service and a positive team atmosphere for our customers.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Ability to work well with computers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli/bakery department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli/bakery department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Floco Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Floco Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli department employees achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs PA announcements.

Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job. 8. Effective communication, guest service and selling skills. 9. Must be at least 18 years old. 10. Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time. 11. Ability to communicate effectively with Store Manager and Merchandiser. 12. Ability to work well with computers.
