Job summary

Kj’s Market is hiring for a deli/bakery department supervisor to oversee guest service, merchandising and day-to-day operations in a fast-paced setting. You will manage staff, control inventory and work with management to meet sales and profit goals.

The role requires an energetic leader with strong communication skills, a commitment to high standards and the ability to train employees while ensuring excellent guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality required.
• Ability to supervise and train deli staff while maintaining high guest service.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli/bakery department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli/bakery department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Floco Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Floco Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli department employees achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs PA announcements.

8. Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
9. Must be at least 18 years old.
10. Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
11. Ability to communicate effectively with Store Manager and Merchandiser.
12. Ability to work well with computers.
