Job summary

Baldwin Supply Company in Minnesota produces fabricated belting for diverse industries. The role involves hands-on fabrication, belt cutting, slitting, gluing and final assembly using hand tools, blueprint reads, and standard measuring tools.

You will also assist installation on customer sites, maintain safety compliance, load/unload materials with a forklift, and support ongoing quality checks. Strong math skills and ability to work independently are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Industrial math and measuring to read and understand work orders and prints.
• OSHA forklift certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Cut regular and step cut rolls per cut sheet.
• Operate large slitters to slit belts to width and length.
• Hand slit belts as needed.
• Square ends of belt and cut belts to proper length.
• Apply glues and cleaners for belt types and applications.
• Fit belt ends with adhesive, tie gum and cloth.
• Set up and lay out belt for v-guides, cleats and sidewall.
• Measure, cut, and arrange hoses to customer specs.
• Inspect belts and hoses to meet quality standards.
• Basic installation of rubber belting on customer sites.
