Job summary

Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced Bell Attendant to assist guests with luggage during arrival and departure and to deliver to rooms with a focus on hospitality. You will help guests with directions, local sights, and hotel services while maintaining a welcoming presence in the lobby.

You will greet guests, handle routine errands, assist other departments during peak times, and maintain lobby cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Prior Bell Attendant experience in a luxury hotel or resort is preferred.
• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive knowledge of the Fort Lauderdale area and local attractions.
• Strong time management skills with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; liaise with other departments and guests.
• Ability to operate computer equipment; knowledge of HotSOS is a plus.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver luggage to room upon check-in and assist with in-room orientation.
• Retrieve luggage at departure and move to storage or front drive.
• Maintain records of deliveries and pickups accurately.
• Greet guests in lobby and offer assistance to ensure a hospitable experience.
• Perform hotel errands that may require local travel.
• Keep lobby and luggage storage area clean and organized.
• Support Door, Guest Relations, and Valet teams as needed.

About the role

The Bell Attendant assists guests with luggage during their arrival and departure experience, makes necessary deliveries to and pick up from guest rooms, and handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality; accommodating special requests, resolving guest complaints, and assisting guests in all inquiries related to hotel services, hours of operation, directions, local sights and attractions, etc.

What you will do

• Deliver luggage to room upon check-in and offer in-room orientation. Retrieve luggage from room upon departure and move luggage to storage or the Front Drive.
• Maintain proper records of deliveries and pick-ups.
• Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolve customer complaints, assist customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.
• Greet all guest passing through lobby, offering assistance.
• Perform errands for guests and the hotel that may require local travel off the hotel property.
• Maintain cleanliness in the lobby and luggage storage room.
• Assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of Door, Guest Relations, and Valet Staff.

What you bring

• Prior Bell Attendant experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive knowledge of the Fort Lauderdale area and popular local attractions.
• Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to operate all computer equipment necessary to perform the job; knowledge of HotSOS preferred/is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 100 lbs.
