Job summary

LEARN Academy in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a dedicated staff member to provide direct instructional support to individual or small groups of students and monitor progress. You will collect data, maintain charts, reinforce academic behaviors, and assist students in community and school activities under licensed staff supervision.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma (Bachelor's preferred) and 1–2 years with children in a special needs setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• 1-2 years’ experience with children in a special needs setting preferred but not required.
• Ability to collaborate and receive feedback from peers and supervisors.
• Experience handling challenging student behaviors with a professional approach.
• Must be physically capable of lifting and assisting students where needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instructional support to individual or groups of students and monitor progress.
• Collect data on goals and objectives as directed by licensed staff.
• Assist staff in maintaining charts and records of student progress.
• Reinforce academic behaviors and provide opportunities to practice.
• Assist students in community, school, and leisure activities under licensed staff supervision.
• Implement district-approved de-escalation techniques and CPI training.
• Perform related duties as assigned by administration and licensed staff.
