Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years' experience with children in a special needs setting preferred.
• Ability to collaborate and receive feedback, mentoring and direction from peers and supervisors.
• Demonstrated professional and clinical perspective, able to manage emotions in challenging student behaviors.
• Demonstrated physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instructional support to individuals or small groups of students.
• Collect data on progress toward goals as directed by licensed staff.
• Maintain charts and records related to student progress.
• Reinforce academic behaviors and provide practice opportunities.
• Assist students in community, school, and leisure activities under licensed staff.
