Job summary

The role involves direct instructional support, data collection, progress charts, and reinforcing academic skills. Training is offered, with opportunities for BCBA certification supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• 1-2 years’ experience with children in a special needs setting preferred.
• Ability to collaborate and receive feedback from peers and supervisors.
• Professional and clinical perspective maintained at all times; manage student behaviors.
• Experience using Crisis Management Interventions (therapeutic holds) and CPI training.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instructional support to individual or small groups of students.
• Collect data regarding goals and progress as directed by licensed staff.
• Assist staff in maintaining charts and records of student progress.
• Reinforce academic behaviors and provide practice opportunities.
• Assist students in community, school, and leisure activities under supervision.
• Implement approved de-escalation techniques and safe holds if needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned by administration and licensed staff.
