Compass Health, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Technician (internal title: Community Living Instructor) to support adults with behavioral health needs in residential or community settings.

The position offers a weekend schedule of Saturday and Sunday from 3:00pm to 11:00pm, totaling 16 hours per week, with a focus on safety, well-being, and daily living skills development. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, behavior management, documentation, and providing basic care.

Qualifications

  • High School/GED required
  • At least 1 year of work experience or self-employment
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license at time of hire with ability to obtain class E MO license within 60-day intro period
  • Basic computer skills
  • Prior CNA or CMA experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support residents in building life skills, routines, and social behaviors.
  • Assist with rehabilitation and behavior support programs.
  • Monitor and document changes in behavior, mood, or physical condition.
  • Provide basic care, such as taking vital signs and assisting with personal needs.
  • Administer medication once certified as a Level 1 Medication Aide (training provided).
  • Transport clients to appointments and community activities (driving is required).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
  • Participate in emergency response and safety procedures.
  • Complete documentation accurately and on time.

Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
