Job summary

Compass Health Network in Jefferson City, MO seeks a Behavioral Technician (Evenings) to support adults with behavioral health needs in residential/community settings. This role focuses on safety, well-being, and daily success, with hands-on support in daily living skills, social engagement, behavior management, and creating a structured environment. Schedule: Mon-Fri 2:00pm-10:00pm, 40 hours weekly.

Prior CNA/CMA experience is a plus. Training provided for Level 1 Medication Aide.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or GED.
• At least one year of work experience or self-employment.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license at time of hire with ability to obtain MO class E license by end 60-day intro period.

Responsibilities

• Support residents in building life skills and daily routines.
• Assist with rehabilitation and behavior support programs.
• Monitor and document changes in behavior, mood, or physical condition.
• Provide basic care and support with personal needs.
• Administer medication once certified as a Level 1 Medication Aide (training provided).
• Transport clients to appointments and community activities (driving is required).
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment.
• Participate in emergency response and safety procedures.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time.

A Behavioral Technician (Internal title: Community Living Instructor) provides support to adults with behavioral health needs in a residential or community setting.

In this role, you’ll ensure the safety, well-being, and daily success of the individuals we serve. You’ll provide hands-on support with daily living skills, social engagement, behavior management, and more — all while helping create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment.

Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
