Compass Health, Inc. is seeking a Community Living Instructor (Behavioral Technician) to support adults with behavioral health needs in residential or community settings.

The role emphasizes safety, daily living skills, social engagement, and behavior management during a night shift (Thu–Mon, 10:45pm–7:15am). You will document changes, assist with basic care, transport clients, and participate in emergency procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School/GED required.
  • At least 1 year of work experience or self-employment required.
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license at time of hire; ability to obtain MO class E license by end of 60-day period.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Prior experience as a CNA or CMA is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support residents in building life skills, routines, and social behaviors.
  • Assist with rehabilitation and behavior support programs.
  • Monitor and document changes in behavior, mood, or physical condition.
  • Provide basic care, such as taking vital signs and assisting with personal needs.
  • Administer medication once certified as a Level 1 Medication Aide (training provided).
  • Transport clients to appointments and community activities (driving is required).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
  • Participate in emergency response and safety procedures.
  • Complete documentation accurately and on time.

You'll provide hands‑on support with daily living skills, social engagement, behavior management, and more - all while helping create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment.
