Job summary

Compass Health Network is seeking a part‑time Behavioral Technician (PRN/As needed) in Jefferson City. You will support adults with behavioral health needs in residential or community settings, helping with daily living skills, behavior management, and safety.

Primary duties include documentation, medication assistance after training, and transportation to activities. This role requires a High School/GED, at least one year of related experience, and a valid MO driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• At least 1 year of work experience or self-employment.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license at time of hire; ability to obtain MO Class E license by end of 60-day introductory period.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Support residents in building life skills, routines, and social behaviors.
• Assist with rehabilitation and behavior support programs.
• Monitor and document changes in behavior, mood, or physical condition.
• Provide basic care, such as taking vital signs and assisting with personal needs.
• Administer medication once certified as a Level 1 Medication Aide (training provided).
• Transport clients to appointments and community activities (driving is required).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
• Participate in emergency response and safety procedures.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time.

A Behavioral Technician (Internal title: Community Living Instructor) provides support to adults with behavioral health needs in a residential or community setting.

In this role, you’ll ensure the safety, well‑being, and daily success of the individuals we serve. You’ll provide hands‑on support with daily living skills, social engagement, behavior management, and more – all while helping create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment.
