Job summary

Oaks Integrated Care in Mount Holly, NJ, seeks a Behavioral Support Specialist for our adult partial care programs across Southern New Jersey. The role is full-time, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with duties including coordinating with clinical and nursing teams and delivering compassionate, person-centered support.

Ideal candidates have strong communication abilities, background in behavioral health, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
• Experience with behavior management and de-escalation techniques.
• Ability to promote a team environment and support socialization and group interactions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clinical, medical and nursing teams.
• Work as a contributing member of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Respond to client needs during programming.
• Provide de-escalation interventions to individuals with increasing symptoms.
• Create a safe, supportive, therapeutic environment.
• Utilize supportive techniques to redirect consumers to participate in program activities.
• Complete incident reports within required timeframes.
• Transport/drive consumers to and from partial care programs when needed.
• Collaborate with community providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain courteous interactions with clients, family/support people and community members.
• Provide support in daily operational needs of the program.
