Job summary

Oaks Integrated Care Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Support Specialist to join our adult partial care programs across Southern New Jersey. This role focuses on supporting individuals with mental health diagnoses in recovery through compassionate, person-centered care.

You will collaborate with clinical teams, provide de-escalation, facilitate activities, and help maintain a safe therapeutic environment. Full-time, Mon-Fri 8:00-4:30, driver license required, pre-employment drug screening;

Qualifications

• High School diploma with 3 years’ behavioral health experience.
• Associates degree with 1 year behavioral health experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clinical, medical and nursing teams.
• Work as a contributing member of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Respond to client needs during programming.
• Provide de-escalation interventions to individuals with increased symptoms.
• Create a safe, supportive, therapeutic environment.
• Redirect consumers to participate in program activities.
• Complete incident reports within required timeframes.
• Transport/drive consumers to and from partial care programs when needed.
• Collaborate with community providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain courteous interactions with clients, families and community members.
• Provide support in daily operational needs of the program.
• Other duties as assigned.
