Job summary

Baltimore County Public Schools seeks a behavior support professional to guide staff in implementing behavior management strategies for students with challenging behaviors, including those with IEP goals related to behavioral or social-emotional learning needs. You will support classroom teams to maintain a safe, learner-centered environment.

Responsibilities include data collection and analysis of student progress, developing and implementing Behavior Intervention Plans and Functional Behavior

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
• Maryland Educator Professional Certificate or eligibility required.
• Strong written and verbal communication and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides academic and social emotional learning throughout the school day as determined by a student's educational plan, including an IEP, and provides tiered interventions.
• Provides proactive approaches to behavior management and classroom support.
• Utilizes crisis intervention procedures and leads positive behavior support training.
• Gathers, analyzes, and maintains data to determine student progress towards behavioral goals.
• Maintains records related to student behavior, exclusion, seclusion, and restraint.
• Supports instructional staff in implementing behavior management programs.
• Develops fidelity measures for evidence-based practices.
• Consults with parents, private providers, and agency representatives regarding student behavior.
