Job summary

Sunrise Community, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support professional to provide behavior support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, enabling them to live valued lives in the community.

The role requires completing a pre-employment background and drug screen, a valid driver's license with endorsements and at least 3 years of driving experience, plus basic computer skills and experience in behavioral intervention.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License with endorsements and have at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Experience in Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities with focus on behavioral intervention preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuity and integration of behavioral services across disciplines through positive collaboration.
• Collect and update individual’s behavior programs and acquisition skills as needed.
• Train staff in each individual's behavior plan, reactive strategies, and positive reinforcement.
• Monitor staff to ensure regulatory compliance in all settings.
• Provide constructive feedback through positive interactions, role modeling, and mentoring.
• Monitor documentation and data for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
