Job summary

Sunrise Community, Inc. is seeking an empathetic Direct Support professional to provide behavior support and assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living valued lives in the community.

The role requires driving, a valid license, and basic computer skills, with training on behavior programs and positive reinforcement. This is a drug-free workplace with mandatory screenings and a commitment to equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Must complete pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License with endorsements and have a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Experience in Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities preferred with a focus on behavioral intervention training.

Responsibilities

• Assists in ensuring continuity and integration of behavioral services with positive collaboration.
• Collects and revises individual’s behavior programs and acquisition skills as needed.
• Assists in training staff on behavior programs, reactive strategies, and positive reinforcement.
• Monitors documentation and program data for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Provides feedback, role modeling, and mentoring to staff and individuals.
