Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking Teacher Assistants for The Mapleton School in Malvern, PA. You will provide direct behavioral intervention to students in a supportive, educational setting.

This is a 52-week position with a Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm schedule and opportunities for training and advancement. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (Special Education preferred) and experience with individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities or behavior disorders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; degree in Special Education preferred.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure student safety.
• Assist in establishing a classroom environment conducive to learning and guide students to socially appropriate behaviors.
• Collaborate with Special Education Teachers to implement skill acquisition and behavioral reduction programs individually and in small groups.
• Perform ongoing data collection and record keeping as directed by the Special Education Teacher.
