Job summary

Monarch Healthcare in Tryon, NC is seeking a Behavioral Specialist to support individuals with mental health, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, with potential sleepovers and travel as needed.

High School Diploma is required.
Valid Driver's License (USA) is required.
Experience working with children or adults with mental health diagnoses or developmental disabilities or substance use disorders is preferred.
Ability to drive and travel as required.

Responsibilities

Assess each person’s hopes, dreams, and desires and provide supports to facilitate achievement.
Assist individuals in participating in their community according to their interests.
Protect and promote the rights of individuals and support advocacy skills.
Provide emotional, physical, and social support as needed.
Foster person-centered, positive relationships and self-determination.
Contribute to assessment, planning, and the development and execution of the person’s plan.
Complete documentation including goals, incident reports, and timesheets.
Assist with daily living activities and transportation as required.
Conduct safety drills, inspect equipment, and uphold safety procedures.
