Beacon Specialized Living Services in Eau Claire, Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Specialist to help individuals build skills and improve quality of life. You will develop and monitor personalized behavioral support plans, observe progress, and collaborate with direct support professionals and clinical teams to promote positive outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree in a related field, have experience with IDD or autism, and possess strong communication and documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Behavioral Health, Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or related field.
• Experience with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, mental health needs, or behavioral challenges.
• Knowledge of positive behavior support strategies, behavioral assessment, and intervention techniques.
• Strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and provide constructive guidance to staff.
• Patience, empathy, professionalism, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed.
• Ability to meet applicable background check, training, and other employment requirements.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavioral support plans based on each individual's needs.
• Observe, assess, and document behavioral patterns, progress, and areas of concern.
• Collaborate with direct support professionals, clinical teams, program leadership, and other stakeholders to promote positive outcomes.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to staff on effective behavioral interventions and person-centered support strategies.
• Identify triggers and implement proactive strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and promote positive skill development.
• Ensure behavioral interventions are implemented consistently and in accordance with established plans, organizational policies, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and required records.
• Advocate for the dignity, independence, safety, and overall well-being of the individuals we serve.
