Job summary

The Office of State Human Resources, through the NC Temporary Solutions program, seeks a Behavioral Programming Technician (S) for a 2nd shift role at 301 Ashe Avenue, Raleigh. The position is temporary with no leave or retirement benefits, 3:00 pm -11:00 pm, Fri 11 am - 6 pm.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain individualized 1:1 support schedules for students with behavioral challenges.

• Provide baseline behavior assessments using observational recordings in multiple settings.
• Collect and analyze data on behavior and intervention effectiveness.

This temporary position is located at 301 Ashe Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27606- Wake County, with Governor Morehead School for the Blind.

Monday through Thursday, 3:00 pm -11:00 pm; Friday 11 am - 6 pm (2nd Shift)

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $24.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

Management Preferences

• Develop and maintain individualized (1:1) support schedules for students presenting behavioral challenges
• Conduct scheduled interventions, maintain weekly progress notes, and present updates and documentation to the Behavior Team to support data-informed decision-making and student success
• Provide baseline assessments of behavior through observational recordings in various settings (classrooms, living areas, and other locations)
• Utilize training techniques established from a library of options
• Recommend design components or changes for training programs
• Collect and analyze data on causes and effects, triggers, behavioral patterns, likes, interests, and effectiveness of prescribed interventions.

Minimum Education and Experience

Associate degree in mental health or child development program from an appropriately accredited institution which includes a six-months practicum/internship in a similar setting and one year of the above experience (one year of the above experience may be substituted for the practicum); or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and three years of instruction experience, two years of which must have been in instructional work requiring goal writing and application of behavioral management techniques at the level equivalent to the Educational/ Developmental Assistant or Health Care Technician; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
