Job description

Behavioral Interventionists at ChOICE Academy play a critical role in supporting youth within an integrated educational and mental health setting. Through consistent supervision, structured behavioral programming, and relationship-based interventions, you help students strengthen academic engagement, develop positive peer relationships, and build independence in daily living skills. Your work supports students across classroom, treatment, and community environments, creating stability and opportunity for growth. This position is a meaningful entry point for individuals interested in education, behavioral health, or human services who are motivated to make a lasting difference while developing their professional skills.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide direct supervision and support to students individually and in group settings.Implement behavioral and treatment plans in collaboration with a team of interventionists and clinical staff.Support students in developing social, emotional, and daily living skills across classroom and community environments.Foster positive, respectful relationships that promote student engagement, safety, and independence.Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with agency standards.Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing collaboration to ensure consistent, high-quality care.Support crisis prevention and intervention efforts, including the use of de-escalation strategies and restraint techniques when required.Compensation and BenefitsWCMHS provides comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance benefits as well as a generous retirement plan match. Behavioral Interventionists frequently move throughout the building and outdoor spaces and provide consistent supervision for students with challenging behaviors. Team members work collaboratively and provide coverage for one another as needed to maintain continuity of care.
