Cambia Health invites applications for an Associate Medical Director Behavioral Health or Utilization Management Medical Director. This part-time, non-benefited role allows work from home within OR, WA, ID or UT, with Idaho/Utah preference for residents.

The position emphasizes leadership, clinical oversight in BH utilization management, and collaboration across lines of business. The role requires an MD/DO with active licenses, board certification in psychiatry (dual board preferred), and at

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree with active license in one or more states.
• Board-certified in general psychiatry or child psychiatry; dual board preferred.
• Minimum 3 years clinical experience with health plan utilization management/case management experience.
• Experience rendering clinical opinions and providing peer-to-peer consultations.

Responsabilités

• Oversee behavioral health utilization management reviews (PA, appeals, post-service).
• Develop and implement behavioral health policies and programs.
• Lead operational policies and standards for integrated program; monitor utilization and results.
• Serve as clinical lead and SME for behavioral health; guide staff and review determinations with providers.
• Stay current with industry trends and identify opportunities to improve outcomes and reduce costs.
