Job summary

The Virginia Center for Behavioral Rehabilitation (VCBR), an agency of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, is seeking a Treatment Associate to provide psychoeducational, therapeutic and casework services within a structured setting.

You will work with residents to develop individualized treatment plans, evaluate progress, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team. Evening/weekend availability may be required; extensive background checks and drug screening apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of counseling principles and techniques.
• Ability to evaluate and document treatment progress; exercise independent judgment.
• Experience providing psychoeducational/therapeutic services and family therapy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychoeducational, therapeutic, casework management services for residents.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with the treatment team.
• Evaluate and document treatment progress; coordinate services.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support residents’ pro-social behavior.
