Job summary

Iron Bridge Recovery Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate I to join our multidisciplinary treatment team at our Chester, VA facility. You will monitor client behaviors, provide continuous client care, and respond in crisis situations as needed.

Responsibilities include safety checks, de-escalation, charting, helping with group activities, and supporting treatment goals. On-site role with comprehensive benefits and tuition assistance offered.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
• Knowledge of common psychiatric disorders and/or dual diagnosis and various treatment modalities of the population served preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the wellbeing of clients and provides a safe, positive, supportive environment.
• Maintains constant supervision of clients.
• Checks clients for contraband and manages belongings.
• Interacts with clients, observes behaviors, and reports to supervisor.
• Encourages attendance at group therapy and promotes participation in activities.
• Facilitates educational-rehabilitative groups on topics like social and coping skills.
