Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist to join the Psychiatric Emergency Response team in Harrisonburg, VA. The role focuses on assessing patients with behavioral health concerns in the emergency department and providing treatment recommendations.

Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling and licensure as an LPC or LCSW. 1+ year of outpatient/inpatient experience is preferred, with crisis experience also favored.

• Collaborates with patients, families, healthcare team members, and community agencies to develop and implement plans to address identified needs.
• Evaluates effectiveness of developed plans and initiates change as needed.
