Job summary

BayCare Health System in New Port Richey, FL, is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist I to join our Community Recovery Center. This full‑time, exempt role involves meeting with patients for psychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering individual, group, and family therapy as appropriate.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy, with BLS and LMFT/LMHC/LCSW licensure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Clinical Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• BLS, Driver's License; LMFT/LMHC/LCSW licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients to complete psychosocial assessments and create treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy as appropriate.
• Conduct case management and discharge planning with proper documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist to join our outstanding and compassionate team in Community Recovery Center in New Port Richey!

• Facility: BayCare Behavioral Health Community Recovery Center in New Port Richey
• Location: New Port Richey, FL
• Status: Full-Time, Exempt: Yes
• Shift Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 9:00 am-5:00pm
• Weekend Work: None
• On Call: No

The Behavioral Health Therapist I Is Responsible For:

• Meeting with patients to complete psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, as well as individual, group and family therapy as deemed appropriate for each individual patient.
• Conducting case management activities as well as discharge planning and maintains appropriate documentation.
• Providing appropriate therapeutic and educational interventions, services and is knowledgeable about community resources.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
• This role requires a Master's prepared in the field of Clinical Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy, or other related field.

Certification/License:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Driver's License
• Driver's License LMFT (Marriage and Family), LMHC (Mental Health) or LCSW (Social Work)

Preferred

Education:

• Master's in Social Work, Psychology or Related Field

Experience

• 2 years clinical related experience or 9 month internship.
