Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Covington, LA, is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians to support admissions, transport, meals, medication, supervision and phones across all shifts. You will engage clients, build rapport, monitor safety, and document incidents while assisting clinical teams with daily operations.

This role emphasizes compassionate care, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask in a busy residential setting at our Covington facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year sobriety is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones).
• Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment.
• Monitor clients and enforce all policies to ensure safety of clients and staff.
• Record and escalate any critical communications/incidents promptly.
• Fulfill administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support).

What You'll Do

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.)
• Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment
• Monitor clients and enforce all Avenues policies to ensure safety of both clients and staff
• Record and escalation any critical communication/ incidents in a timely manner
• Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.)

What We're Looking For

Avenues Recovery Center at Covington is a residential facility offering drug and alcohol detoxification and inpatient rehabilitation services. Avenues Covington is staffed by a round- the clock team of seasoned doctors, nurses, psychiatric specialists, addiction counselors and behavioral health technicians, as well as CNAs to provide constant support with Assisted Daily Living Services. Our team utilizes an array of evidence - based therapy modalities - including CBT, DBT. EMDR, MAT and Motivational Interviewing - to achieve the best possible outcomes for every client.
