Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record and pass an MVR.
• CPR/First Aid Certification or attain within 30 days of employment.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Knowledge of MN Statutes related to NBHN services and willingness to learn regulations with integrity.
• Must understand and follow NBHN's Drug and Alcohol Policy.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient computer skills with MS Office and Google Suite.
• Have a minimum of 1 year of sobriety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current knowledge of house and client activities.
• Transport clients to and from appointments and related activities.
• Ensure all passengers are compliant, safe, and non-volatile.
• Plan work tasks to align with programming requirements.
• Set priorities in monitoring clients, house rounds, and documentation.
• Work independently with minimal direction.
• Stay up to date with program philosophy, policies, and NBHN procedures.
• Assist counselors with intake procedures and client orientation.
• Encourage clients to achieve goals as a positive role model.
• Participate in client recreational activities with a positive attitude.
• Serve as a resource for clients with community services knowledge.
• Document client information in logs and forms.
• Record client-related topics in files and logs.
• Be diplomatic and considerate of staff and clients' needs and opinions.
• Complete clerical tasks and update spreadsheets.
• Assist in facility cleaning duties as needed.
• Adhere to attendance and shift-change policies.
• Be punctual and participate in rotation schedules, including holidays.
• Be able to work additional hours/off shifts as needed.
