Job summary

Northstar Behavioral Health Network is seeking a dedicated team member to support individuals with substance use disorders in a residential setting. You will administer medications, transport clients, monitor safety, and help with daily program activities.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid, ability to pass a background check, and basic computer skills. Candidates should be at least 18, committed to sobriety, and willing to work weekends/holidays on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record and pass an MVR.
• CPR/First Aid Certification or attain within 30 days of employment
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Knowledge of MN Statutes related to NBHN serves and willingness to learn regulations with integrity
• Must understand NBH's Drug and Alcohol Policy
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office and Google Suite
• Have a minimum of 1 yr of sobriety.
• Must work every other weekend and holiday rotation

Responsibilities

• Administer client medications and document accordingly.
• Maintain knowledge of house and client activities.
• Transport clients to and from appointments and related tasks.
• Ensure passengers are safe and compliant.
• Plan work tasks to align with programming requirements.
• Monitor clients, perform house rounds, document information.
• Work independently with minimal direction.
• Stay updated on program philosophy and procedures, 245G requirements.
• Assist in intake procedures and orientation of new clients and staff.
• Encourage clients to achieve goals as a positive role model.
• Participate in client recreational activities with a positive attitude.
• Serve as a resource for clients regarding community services.
• Document client information in logs and forms.
• Diplomatically interact with staff and clients.
