Northstar Behavioral Health Network is seeking staff to support clients with substance use disorder treatment in Minnesota. The role involves transporting clients, administering medications, and assisting counselors, with emphasis on safety, confidentiality, and program integrity.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid cert (or within 30 days), and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• CPR/First Aid certification or obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Must pass a background check.
• Knowledge of MN statutes related to NBHN population and willingness to learn regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient with MS Office and Google Suite programs.

Responsabilités

• Administer client medications and document accordingly.
• Maintain current knowledge of house and client activities.
• Transport clients to and from appointments, intake pickups, discharge drop-offs, etc.
• Ensure all passengers in the vehicle are compliant, safe, and non-volatile.
• Plan work tasks to coincide with programming requirements.
• Set priorities in monitoring clients, house rounds and documentation.
• Be dependable and able to work independently with little direction.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of program policies and confidentiality (245G).
• Assist counselors with intake/admission procedures and orientation of new clients.
• Encourage clients to achieve goals by being a positive role model.
• Participate in client recreational activities with a positive attitude.
• Serve as a resource for clients through knowledge of community services.
• Document client information in logs and forms; maintain professionalism and sensitivity.
• Complete clerical tasks and update Excel spreadsheets.
• Assist in food preparation and household cleaning duties as needed.
• Adhere to attendance and shift-change policies; be punctual.
• Participate in rotational/off-shift schedules including holidays.
• Able to work additional hours as needed.
