Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare in Hammonton, NJ is seeking a BHT Supervisor to oversee on-duty Behavioral Health Technicians and ensure protocols are followed for clients and staff. The role includes supervision, scheduling, training, and coordinating interventions across shifts.

We require a high school diploma, CPR/AED/First Aid certifications, and previous clinical experience preferred. Various shifts and opportunities across locations are available.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Behavioral Health Technicians and provide feedback on performance.
• Orient and train new staff to unit and program.
• Assist with interviewing and hiring BHTs.
• Communicate with staff, verbally and in logs, and document actions.
• Develop staff schedules and conduct performance evaluations.
• Coordinate client interventions and safety measures.
• Attend trainings and lead department meetings.

Summary

In addition to performing the role of a BHT, the BHT Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of clients and other BHTs while on duty. BHT Supervisor ensures client and staff follow protocols, and reports issues to the Program Director / BHT Manager and others as needed.

Pay

$18.50/hr before shift differentials

Shift Differential Information

7:00am - 3:00pm - 1st Shift differentials: (Saturday and Sunday) $1.00

3:00pm -11:00pm - 2nd Shift differentials: (Monday - Friday) $1.00 (Saturday and Sunday) $1.50

11:00pm - 7:00am - 3rd Shift Differentials: (Monday - Sunday) $1.50

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervises Behavioral Health Technicians and provides feedback on their performance.
• Orients and Trains new staff to unit and program.
• Assists with Interviewing and Hiring BHT’s.
• Communicates with staff either verbally or in written communication logs.
• Assists with employee disciplinary actions.
• Develops employee schedule.
• Conducts employee performance evaluations.
• Assists with interventions with clients.
• Assists with confiscation of items.
• Listens to clients and BHT’s concerning all areas of the clients’ treatment.
• Coordinate activities including lectures, recreation and meetings with Lead BHT’s.
• Follows objectives of treatment plans.
• Maintains safe, orderly and therapeutic physical environment for clients including crisis intervention.
• Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provides input.
• Attends trainings as necessary and schedules BHT’s to attend trainings.
• Attends facility meetings and coordinates BHT department meetings.
• Clerical duties as needed.
• Other duties as deemed necessary.

Required Qualifications Licensure, Education, & Experience

• High diploma or equivalent required
• Previous clinical experience preferred
• Prefer behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience
• Current CPR, AED and First Aid, required

Supervisory Responsibilities

Provide training and day-to-day guidance to the BHT team including, but not limited to, making daily rounds of the facility.
