Job summary

Asheville Recovery Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support clients on their recovery journey. You will assist with intake, supervise clients, and collaborate with the clinical/operations team in a structured, compassionate environment.

Responsibilities include guiding clients through recovery models, coordinating daily schedules, and performing routine drug testing with strict adherence to confidentiality and policy.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Must be at least 21 years old

Responsibilities

• Help facilitate the first initial part of the intake process for clients
• Provide supervision and support to clients and the Clinical/Operations Team at the facility
• Offer clients guidance about recovery using the 12-step model, Refuge Recovery, or other established models
• Facilitate daily schedule of Asheville Recovery Center
• Conduct random urinalysis drug testing twice weekly and as outlined procedurally
• Monitor client presence through daily rounds
• Report any unusual client behavior or suspicious activity to the BHT Supervisor / Operations Manager
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies and infection control procedures
• Support daily tasks and operations as needed
