Job summary

Apex Recovery Rehab is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support clients in outpatient substance use disorder programs, including PHP and IOP levels of care. The role focuses on direct client support, monitoring activity, and assisting clinicians in implementing treatment plans to maintain a safe, structured, recovery-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma; RADT license in progress within first month.
• One year of experience in a human services setting with strong references.
• CPR/First Aid certifications required.
• Valid California driver’s license and clean DMV record.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support clients throughout the facility in a professional, safe manner.
• Coordinate transportation to facility, housing sites, medical appointments, and external services.
• Conduct observed UA drug screens and log results per policy and custody procedures.
• Assist with new client intakes and orientation to ensure smooth onboarding.
• Track attendance for group and individual sessions; prompt scheduling and reporting non-attendance.
• Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming treatment environment and assist with light admin tasks.
• Document progress notes and incidents accurately in the EHR; communicate needs to clinical staff.
• Respond to crises with de-escalation techniques and alert supervisors as needed.
