Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare, located in Gibsonia, PA, is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for a part-time role. The technician will support clients and staff, assist with intake, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment within our residential substance use and mental health treatment center.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and preferably experience in Drug and Alcohol/ Mental Health settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience in Drug and Alcohol/Mental Health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with intake for new clients.
• Maintain detailed client logs and communicate with staff.
• Provide a safe, therapeutic environment and crisis intervention as needed.
• Coordinate activities such as lectures, recreation, and meetings.
• Conduct bed checks and report shift updates.
• Attend shift changes, team and company meetings.
• Ensure adherence to the client schedule daily.
• Assist with client interventions and treatment plan objectives.
• Monitor medication line and transport clients to activities.
• Conduct searches of clients on return to the facility.
• Monitor clients’ hygiene and medical needs and uphold ethics.
• Train new staff on unit operations and milieu.

Position Title: Behavioral Health Technician PT

We are currently seeking Behavioral Health Technicians to support our clients and staff. The BHT is an integral part of our clients’ well-being and daily operations, providing frontline support throughout their day. Pay: $15 per hour (before shift differentials)

Shift Differentials

• 1st Shift (Saturday and Sunday): $1.00
• 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday): $1.00
• 2nd Shift (Saturday and Sunday): $1.50
• 3rd Shift (Monday - Friday): $1.50
• 3rd Shift (Saturday and Sunday): $1.50

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with the intake process for new clients into the program.
• Communicate with staff verbally or through written logs; maintain detailed client logs.
• Listen to clients regarding treatment and maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment, including crisis intervention.
• Coordinate activities such as lectures, recreation, and meetings.
• Conduct mandatory bed checks and complete the bed-check sheet for shift reporting.
• Attend shift changes, team meetings, and company meetings.
• Ensure adherence to the client schedule daily.
• Assist with client interventions.
• Follow the objectives outlined in treatment plans.
• Monitor the medication line.
• Transport clients to meetings and recreational activities.
• Conduct searches of clients upon their return to the facility.
• Monitor clients' hygiene and medical needs.
• Uphold therapeutic boundaries and the staff code of ethics.
• Evaluate clients' behavioral and emotional needs and provide input.
• Distribute client snacks as needed.
• Train new staff on unit operations, program, and milieu.
• Help maintain the upkeep of the facility.
• Assist clients in obtaining a sponsor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience in Drug and Alcohol/Mental Health preferred.
