Job summary

Twin County Regional Healthcare in Galax, VA is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to join our in-person team on a PRN basis across various shifts. The BH Tech provides direct patient care under nursing supervision, maintains safety, and supports a therapeutic environment for behavioral health patients.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; BLS and Handle with Care within 45 days; CNA licenses are preferred; prior behavioral health experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meeting the needs of behavioral health patients.
• Maintain constant direct observation and visualization of identified patients.
• Provide direct patient care under nursing supervision and maintain a safe environment.
• Observe and record patient behavior and activities; report changes to nursing staff.
