Job summary

Life Center of Galax is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate to provide compassionate personal care and support to patients under clinical supervision. You will help maintain a safe, respectful environment, assist with daily living activities, document care in patient records, and support therapeutic groups while adhering to safety protocols and patient-first principles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services to patients under supervision and maintain patient safety.
• Demonstrate urgency and deliver excellent customer services while supporting daily living activities.
• Document timely and accurate clinical information in the patient’s medical record.
• Assist with activities of daily living and monitor vital signs as assigned.
• Facilitate educational-rehabilitative groups and engage patients to achieve treatment goals.
