Job summary

Connections Health Solutions in Leesburg, VA, seeks a Behavioral Health Technician – Day Shift to support the Crisis Care unit. You’ll help ensure safety, conduct vital signs, assist with daily living activities, and document care in the EHR, delivering compassionate, patient-centered service to adults and youth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of behavioral health experience.
• Experience using EHR and basic computer applications.
• Vaccination policy requires full vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Conducts safety screenings and inventories property on admission.
• Provides unit orientation for Observation Unit and Residential Crisis Stabilization Unit.
• Educates individuals on rights and regulations and explains rules.
• Maintains unit safety and documents every 15 minutes.
• Intervenes with escalated individuals using de-escalation techniques.
• Documents services and interactions in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Maintains facility and unit cleanliness.
• Completes required training and attends monthly meetings.
• Physically able to perform safe restraint techniques and CPR.
