Job summary

The Willows at Red Oak Recovery in Fletcher, NC is seeking a PRN Behavioral Health Technician to support women’s mental health in a trauma-informed setting. You will provide direct care, assist with assessments, and help implement individualized treatment plans under licensed supervision.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, documentation, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to monitor progress and ensure safety for patients with serious emotional disturbances (SED).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher in a related field preferred.
• Certification or training in behavioral health, crisis intervention, or related area.
• Experience with mental health challenges, preferably in a clinical or residential setting.
• Ability to maintain detailed clinical documentation and follow established protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare team.

We are seeking PRN Behavioral Health Technicians to add to our dynamic team! The Behavioral Health Technician plays a critical role in supporting the mental health and well-being of patients within a specialized healthcare setting. This position involves direct patient care, assisting with clinical assessments, and implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of licensed professionals. The technician is responsible for managing crisis situations effectively, ensuring patient safety, and facilitating therapeutic interventions tailored to individuals with serious emotional disturbances (SED).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience specifically with serious emotional disturbances (SED) populations
• Formal training or certification in crisis management and clinical assessments
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare documentation software
• Additional education or certification in mental health or behavioral health fields
• Experience working in women’s health or specialized behavioral health facilities
