Turning Point of Tampa is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to support individuals with addiction and mental health challenges in an overnight role in Tampa, FL.

You will work Thursday-Saturday, 9:00 p.m.–9:00 a.m., with a $2.00 per hour shift differential for all overnight hours. Comprehensive benefits include medical, vision, dental, life, disability, a 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in psychology or social work preferred
• Ability to work Thursday-Saturday 9:00 p.m.–9:00 a.m., holidays as scheduled
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Experience in mental/behavioral health environment preferred
• Experience with the 12-Step program required
• Must have an acceptable driving record and pass background check

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support focusing on daily living skills, social skills, and emotional regulation
• Assist with behavioral interventions and crisis management while ensuring client safety
• Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, and nurses to implement individualized treatment plans
• Engage clients in recreation, education, and community activities to promote engagement and socialization
• Maintain accurate, confidential records of client progress and services provided

Available Full-Time Schedule:

• Thursday-Saturday, 9:00 p.m.-9:00 a.m.
• An additional $2.00 per hour shift differential is paid for all overnight hours worked

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to clients, focusing on daily living skills, social skills, and emotional regulation
• Assist with behavioral interventions and crisis management while ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, psychiatrists, and nurses, to implement individualized treatment plans
• Participate in activities such as recreation therapy, educational programs, and community outings to promote client engagement and socialization
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client progress and services provided
