Job summary

Direct Care and Treatment in Minnesota is hiring a part-time Behavioral Health Technician for CBHH Annandale. The position covers night shifts (9:30pm–7:30am) about 30 hours per week, with every other weekend, in a small inpatient psychiatric facility for adults.

As a Human Services Technician, you will facilitate admissions, provide compassionate care, maintain a safe, therapeutic environment, contribute to treatment planning, and collect data to improve care.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English sufficient to understand/follow directions and to maintain records/documentation.
• Human relations skills sufficient to establish rapport with and provide direction to service recipients.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate admission and discharge procedures for patients at the CBHH to ensure an optimum level of health and comfort.
• Provide compassionate physical and mental health care to help patients achieve their treatment goals.
• Maintain a clean and therapeutic environment, which may include performing housekeeping tasks.
• Participate as a member of the treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans based on the unique needs of each patient.
• Maintain a hazard‑free environment by following safety standards and responding to emergency situations.
• Assist with the collection of monitoring and evaluation data to continuously maintain and improve patient care services.
• Participate in training and quality improvement activities so that the best possible care is provided to patients.
