Job summary

State of Minnesota seeks a Behavioral Health Technician in Rochester within Direct Care and Treatment. This part-time, unlimited position supports the CBHH Rochester Nursing unit and provides patient-centered care in a 16-bed setting.

The role requires English literacy, strong interpersonal skills, and a valid driver's license. Applicants may qualify for a $2,500 hiring incentive. Work hours include rotating shifts with weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English sufficient to understand/follow directions and to maintain records/documentation.
• Human relations skills sufficient to establish rapport with and provide direction to service recipients.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate admission and discharge functions.
• Complete the demographic/technical admission procedure for patients entering the CBHH so that an optimum level of health and comfort may be attained.
• Provide optimal physical and mental health care to achieve and maintain health outcomes.
• Maintain an acceptable environment of care.
• Participate as a member of the integrated treatment team in developing/implementing patient behavioral treatment plans and promote illness management and recovery.
• Perform delegated treatments and procedures within policy.
• Maintain a hazard-free environment through safety standards and emergency response.
• Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a healthful environment.
• Assist in data collection, organization of monitoring and evaluation data for continuous improvement.
• Participate in in-service training and quality improvement activities.
