Job summary

Foundry Front Range in Denver area seeks a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Manager to lead the BHT team in a residential behavioral health and substance use treatment setting. You will ensure safe, client-centered care and maintain staffing levels per policy and regulations.

The role reports to Clinical Director and requires 3+ years in behavioral health, with 2+ years in supervision, and crisis prevention/CPR training. Strong communication and HIPAA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate/bachelor's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, leadership, coaching, and performance management for Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs).
• Oversee BHT scheduling, shift coverage, and staffing needs to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Monitor overtime and staffing utilization and make adjustments with leadership.
• Participate in interviewing, onboarding, training, and development of BHT staff.
• Establish and reinforce expectations related to attendance, professionalism, communication, documentation, client interactions, and job performance.
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and respect.
• Serve as an accessible leadership resource for BHT staff with supervisory boundaries.
• Ensure client observations, rounds, transports, activities, groups and other BHT responsibilities are completed.
• Maintain staff boundaries and interactions with clients.
• Provide support during behavioral concerns, crises, safety incidents, and other challenging situations.
• Monitor BHT documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Clinical, Nursing, Medical, HR, and Ops leadership on client/staff/safety needs.
• Address employee performance, conduct, attendance, and policy concerns with HR.
• Monitor daily operations and address barriers to client care.
• Participate in incident review, quality improvement, and safety initiatives.
• Maintain communication between BHT staff, shifts, departments and leadership.
• Assist in development and implementation of BHT policies, procedures, workflows, and standards.
• Assist leadership with audits, surveys, licensing reviews, and accreditation as appropriate.
• Participate in leadership meetings as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
