Pyramid Healthcare New River Valley Inpatient in Radford, VA is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Manager to lead and oversee the BHT department, ensuring safe, high-quality care and staff performance.

The role requires scheduling, staffing, and collaboration with clinical teams, with on-call duties and a salary range of $50,000.00 to $56,000.00 per year. This is a full-time position located at 6226 University Park Drive, Radford, VA.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent.
• REQUIRED: Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and operational oversight of the Behavioral Health Technician department.
• Supervise Lead BHTs, BHT Supervisors, Behavioral Health Technicians, and other staff.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, productivity, and workforce planning to ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of client care.
• Direct employee recruitment, interviewing, hiring recommendations, onboarding, orientation, coaching, performance management, corrective action, and staff development.
• Develop and implement departmental training, competency, and professional development initiatives.
• Monitor department performance, documentation quality, client safety, and adherence to organizational policies and treatment protocols.

Pyramid Healthcare Inc. has been in operations since 1999 and we currently operate over 80 programs in 8 different states, offering a full continuum of high-quality behavioral health care for individuals suffering from substance use disorders, mental health concerns, and other behavioral health issues.

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operational oversight of the Behavioral Health Technician department. This position oversees staffing, employee performance, department operations, client supervision practices, and the therapeutic milieu to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality behavioral health services in accordance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.

The BHT Manager collaborates with clinical, nursing, and operational leadership to support quality client care, staff development, operational excellence, and continuous quality improvement across assigned programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and operational oversight of the Behavioral Health Technician department.
• Supervise Lead BHTs, BHT Supervisors, Behavioral Health Technicians, and other assigned staff.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, productivity, and workforce planning to ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of client care.
• Direct employee recruitment, interviewing, hiring recommendations, onboarding, orientation, coaching, performance management, corrective action, and staff development.
• Develop and implement departmental training, competency, and professional development initiatives.
• Monitor department performance, documentation quality, client safety, and adherence to organizational policies and treatment protocols.
• Collaborate with clinical, nursing, and operational leadership regarding client care, staffing needs, treatment programming, and operational initiatives.
• Monitor quality metrics, regulatory compliance, licensing standards, accreditation requirements, and department performance improvement activities.
• Oversee transportation operations, client supervision practices, and therapeutic milieu management as applicable.
• Participate in budget planning, resource allocation, and operational improvement initiatives.
• Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information
• Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience:
