Job summary

Henry Ford Health is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician to support patients with addiction, behavioral issues, or mental health challenges. Working under a Registered Nurse, you will help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and provide compassionate care during night shifts on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, data collection, collaboration with clinicians, and alerting management to critical issues.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of college in Behavioral Health or related field, or one year of BH Technician experience or EMT.
• BLS Heartsaver Certification required during orientation and active.
• WELLE training must be completed within three months and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care activities in accordance with policies and patient care plans.
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Offer comfort, empathy, encouragement, and support to patients.
• Assess patients and gather relevant data for their care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to deliver quality, safe care.
• Notify management of significant patient care issues.
