Job summary

Henry Ford Health is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician to support patients with addiction, behavioral issues, or mental health challenges. Working under a Registered Nurse, you will help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and provide compassionate care during night shifts on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, data collection, collaboration with clinicians, and alerting management to critical issues.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of college in Behavioral Health or related field, or one year of BH Technician experience or EMT.
• BLS Heartsaver Certification required during orientation and active.
• WELLE training must be completed within three months and maintained.

Behavioral Health Technician - Henry Ford Health

Pay: 16.21-22.68/hr

Hours: Midnights - 11pm-7:30am, Full Time

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year college experience in Behavioral Health, Allied Health, Psychology, or related field, OR one year of Behavioral Health Technician experience or applicable experience such as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
• Ability to physically manage patients in a safe and therapeutic manner.
• Complete BLS Heartsaver Certification during orientation and maintain active certification.
• Complete WELLE training within the first three months and maintain active certification (location specific).

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a Behavioral Health Technician in an inpatient psychiatric or addiction medicine setting.

Venipuncture and SUD experience preferred
